Celulà is a millinery project completed in my final year of college. I was very lucky to have a teacher who specialised in millinery and had worked for the royal milliners! Every year Worshipful Company of Felt Makers of England hold an international competition where students from colleges from all over the world enter their work for a chance to win prizes and potentially a work placement within Rachel Trevor Morgans company who supply the headwear to the royal family! My headpiece got entered into the competition and I was lucky enough to win the prize for innovative use of felt! The judges included industry experts including Hilary Alexander (the editor of Vogue Magazine at the time) who featured a photo of my headpiece on her social media. Myself and a fellow student had our hats appeared in The Hat Magazine which was an incredibly proud moment for myself.
