For this project I had to design and made a corset based outfit inspired by my own interpretation of Christina Rossetti's poem Goblin Market. The costume had to be created for a performance poet who would be wearing it as they performed the poem. I chose to base my costume around victorian underwear as I wanted my character to be as exposed as possible relating to the poem in many ways. I used the technique of cording in my corset which created a vein/root like effect and amplified my decaying and decomposing theme.
